Good value for a quick lunch

Decent pub, needs more staff

Visited Yates with some friends last weekend. The atmosphere was pretty lively, and the 2 for 1 cocktails were a definite plus; we really enjoyed the Mojitos. Food was alright, the Fish and Chips were standard pub grub. Service at the bar was a bit slow though, felt like they could have used another person working. Took a while to get our drinks, but once we did, it was a good night out. Value was decent for what we paid.

Fun night out, easy experience

Went to Yates for a birthday thing with my mates last month. We just wanted somewhere chill for drinks and a bit of food. Had a couple of pints of Guinness and shared some Nachos, which were actually pretty good. The place had a good vibe, music wasn't too loud so we could still chat. Everything was easy, no fuss getting served, and it didn't break the bank. Just a really decent, casual night out. I'd totally go back again for another casual evening.

Fantastic spot for a Sunday Roast!

Oh my goodness, I tried the Sunday Roast at Yates and it was absolutely brilliant! I went with my family and everyone loved theirs. The portions were generous, and the meat was cooked perfectly. The gravy was delicious too! The whole experience was just lovely, really hit the spot for a cozy Sunday. I'm already planning my next visit for another one. Absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a great Sunday meal without the hassle of cooking!

Honestly, I think Yates' burgers are a bit better, a bit more substantial. Spoons can be a bit hit or miss sometimes.

They're pretty comparable, I'd say. Yates might have a slightly nicer vibe if you're looking for more of a proper night out feel, but for just a quick cheap burger, both are fine.

I've always just walked in, but I guess for a big group or a specific event like a football match, booking ahead makes sense. Never had trouble getting a spot for two or three people though.
